Snow, long days, a cold and one very long day...TWINS!

|
So what an exciting week it has been.  First there was a snow day on Monday.  Daddy stayed at home with LJ and got to play in the snow...

I had to do some extremely long hours at work as needed to get ready for things picking up as life returns back to normal after the festive season but with the long days and snotty noses (my cold really kicked in by Wednesday)  my wonderful friend Emma gave birth to two gorgeous little girls!  All natural on top of that.  So impressed.  If we still had our car I would have been on my way right now to go and see her (minus the cold of course!)

Well after the hustle and bustle this week as well as Friday not finishing until 8.30pm and getting home at 10pm I can now finally say I am off for a week. So looking forward to spending it with my family and friends.  I have a birthday coming up too!  (Hair dye coming out tonight to hide the extra grey)

So this bag would be on my wish list...but which colour?

Rainy days and the Hummingbird Bakery Recipe Book

|
A while ago myself and my daughter's godmother got the Hummingbird Bakery Recipe book and decided to make some cupcakes with my daughter.  I'm not a baker, my husband get's worried when I decide to hit the kitchen but with the assistance of my awesome friend we were able to make these amazing Hot Chocolate Cupcakes!  My daughter loved it and was excited when she could start using her sprinkles to decorate.  There was a lot of sugar highs that day!

Summer's End

|
After all the chaos that the Olympics brought to our lives in August we were blessed with a complimentary stay at my husband's work.  We were upgraded to one of Crowne Plaza Dockland's Suites which gave us fantastic views over the Victoria Docks and the Emirates Airline Cable Car (which I didn't lucky have to do again, although my husband and daughter did it twice!).  It was a fantastic finish to the summer and we had so much fun!

Good bye Summer!

A few more hours of being 33

|
Ok, well in a few hours I will be turning 34...even though my wonderful husband keeps reminding me that age is just a number this week I really felt all of my 33 years. My dad was taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack and my little girl has been ill. Apart from a wonderful weekend it ended up being filled with constant checking of my phone. A little one coughing all through the night and lack of sleep all round. I did end up having fun with my awesome friend Rachel (wonderful designer of the Knitaboo logo and godmother to my daughter). She came over on Friday afternoon and we played around with the sewing machine and for once my little one played along and fell asleep on the couch. Seeing my friend getting to grips with the sewing machine has made my fingers itch...I think I will definately be expanding my sewing skills in 2012!
